High moral character and integrity are fundamental elements to being a successful administrator of the law.  Ethics is one of the most critical character traits a judge must have to effectively serve the people.  Dennis Sugg has the ability to reserve judgment, remain neutral and impartial, offer no special treatment no matter what the situation and act in a professional manner at all times and with all parties.  Simply stated, Dennis Sugg will administer the law ethically, timely, responsibly and without bias.


Dennis Sugg has conducted himself in the utmost professional manner while volunteering in communities where he has resided. Dennis and Gail Sugg He has been a Volunteer Fireman, Reserve Deputy, Deputy Sheriff, State Trooper and currently, a Sergeant with the Nevada Highway Patrol for the Pahrump District. While working as a StateTrooper in the Fallon, Nevada District, he was issued an award by the Governor and MADD for being in the top ten in Northern Command for D.U.I. arrests. 

Our community depends on a Justice of the Peace with honor, strong ethics, integrity and high moral character.  Dennis Sugg has demonstrated all of these traits throughout his career.


Dedication

Dennis Sugg served in the United States Army from 1972 through 1975, primarily in an Airborne Artillery unit.  During this period of time, he served as a Personnel Specialist, which encompassed working with disciplinary actions, as well as other personnel issues. 

With almost 19 years of law enforcement and community service, Dennis Sugg exemplifies dedication to the people of Nye County.  Dennis grew up in ranching communities and moved from Fallon, Nevada to Pahrump approximately five years ago to be the supervisor for the Pahrump District of the Nevada Highway Patrol.  He responded to calls of the public needs at all times of the day or night.  He has attended numerous Town Board Meetings and is aware of concerns in the community.  

His many years of devoted service to the public, experience, training and the ability to be impartial are the qualities that make Dennis Sugg the ideal candidate for Pahrump Justice of the Peace.  The broad experience he has gained while working in Law Enforcement and with the numerous allied agencies as well as experience in court, gives Dennis first-hand knowledge of how important it is for our court system to be fair.
